Requirements and Updates for International Searches

SSC wants to let you know that as the world changes, the requirements for the release of international information have become stricter. Many countries have become very particular on what kind of information they will release on their citizens, requiring specific documents, processes and/or releases in order for them to release data.

Prior to submitting an international search we recommend having all the needed parts together or at least notify your candidate that more documents may be required during the process. Below are examples of what is now required by a large majority of countries.

1. International Education Verifications:

A. Hand signed release- Download Link HERE

B. Copy of Diploma/Degree

2. International Employment Verifications:

A. Hand signed release - Download Link HERE

B. A copy of the employees last paystub or employee ID may be required

3. International Criminal Search:

A. Hand signed release - Download Link HERE

B. Many Spanish speaking countries require mother’s maiden name

C. Many middle eastern countries require Fathers full name

D. Some countries require special ID numbers or characters (Example: China & Mexico)

Many countries can take more than 10 business days to complete, others can take up to 30 days. SSC will always communicate what is required and list any ETAs for these searches. If you order international searches please keep an eye on incoming emails from SSC regarding additional information that may be required, as the required additional information will affect turn-around times.

A complete list of requirements and average turn-around times can be found HERE. Please contact Pierre Rhodes (prhodes@sscintel.com) for country specific documents
